Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, Pete Middleton has been around the real estate industry since early childhood. His parents, Frank and Ginny, owned a brokerage firm aptly named Frank Middleton Real Estate. It was here as a young boy that Pete got his first valuable lessons in real estate. “I was going to the office to help out with real estate since I was eight years old,” Pete explains. “Answering phones, putting up signs, running postcards, dropping off flyers, cleaning houses, fixing houses, going to construction sites. Learning every aspect of real estate.”
Pete has now spent over 23 years building lifelong relationships in san diego, sold over 2 billion dollars in real estate, and closed more than 3,000 homes. Pete has coined the phrase “DONE DEAL” and fully enjoys making that happen for his clients.
The Middleton team started when Pete moved to San Diego in 1992. He worked for RE/MAX for almost a decade and quickly became the number one agent in the company. Always looking for a new challenge, Middleton opened a Keller Williams in La Jolla in 2006. Following in his father’s footsteps and proudly bringing the family name out west, he later founded the luxury boutique brokerage, Middleton & Associates Real Estate.
Middleton & Associates quickly became one of the top five La Jolla brokerages since opening in 2010. In 2013, the brokerage completed 188 transactions totaling over $140 million in sales. In 2014, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage acquired the assets of Middleton & Associates and welcomed Middleton’s agents into their brokerage. The merging of these two powerhouse brokerages had a significant impact on La Jolla’s elite real estate market.
Middleton led the “Middleton Team” at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a group of handpicked elite agents all trained to provide excellent service to their clients. In September of 2019, Middleton announced a major milestone in his career. He and his team are now part of a growing number of real estate agents switching to eXp Realty, an agent - owned brokerage. eXp stands out as one of the first and largest cloud-based brokerages and the company recently announced expansion into the United Kingdom and Australia.
“I feel there is a major shift coming to the real estate industry and the traditional platforms that have been in place for decades.
